I read a Terry Pratchett decades ago and liked it but can't remember the title. I'm reading the biography of Katharine Susannah Prichard who was author in 1940-60's, wrote a book called Coonardo about aboriginal girl, which I'd like to read sometime if it's still around. Katharine was a founding member of Australian communist party - I saw this book in a library book sale and thought I'd try it. Also her grandaughter was at the same primary school as me - tenuous connection as I didn't even know her.
If you are into fantasy, I would recommend Sara Douglass - start with the Axis Trilogy. I loved it!! And Sara Douglass is now a tassie girl. Apparently she lives in Newtown!
Have you ever read To kill a Mockingbird? I haven't read for years and saw a copy in the library and pondered re-reading it - such a classic
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the book but I saw the movie and it was quite good. I might look into reading the book.
